Tuscumbia is the birthplace of Helen Keller, the first lady of courage. Her home, Ivy Green, is open to the public all year round. The Miracle Worker is a play about her life and presented live outdoors during the summer. The Helen Keller Festival is always in June and brings with it many activities in the area including food, fun and live entertainment.

COLBERT COUNTY COURTHOUSE
Tuscumbia is the county seat for Colbert County. We have a beautiful historical courthouse. The lawns at the courthouse host many entertainers during local festivals.
THE PALACE ICE CREAM SHOP
This unique eatery will take you back in time. You can enjoy a milkshake, banana split or an ice cream cone during a hot southern summer day. Only two blocks from Spring Park, it is a perfect way to treat the kid in everyone.
THE ALABAMA MUSIC HALL OF FAME
This is home to all the information regarding famous Alabamain music folk. You can step into the 17 foot jukebox to record your rendition of your favorite song. Two large outdoor stages host various artists such as Lynard Skynard, The Charlie Daniels Band and George Jones
SPRING PARK
Spring Park is home to the largest manmade waterfall in the world. Stick around until dark and watch the lighted water show synchronized to music. The show changes often so you will want to see it every time you are in the area. There is a large pavilion that is great for get togethers. This pavilion is used during festivals to host such artist as Ronnie Millsap, Lonestar, Alan Jackson and Exile.
This area also is host to several other attractions including the Coon Dog Cemetery, Belle Mont Mansion, LaGrange College, Wilson Dam & Lock, Natchez Trace Parkway, Wilson Lake and Pickwick Lake. TENNESSEE VALLEY ART CENTER
